The Insiders Report: 08

The Kennedy Papers

IN OTHER NEWS: I would like to know if you have a topic that you would like to address for our column. I have found that most of the things that I’ve considered or thought of have been rather lightweight and I’m probably a bit reticent to choose something that might cause me conflict. So, it would be a good idea if perhaps you could suggest a topic that might challenge me.

THE INSIDERS: We would point out that it is not the purpose of our communications to challenge you specifically. But of course, the nature of what we communicate is likely to be challenging. But it is a distinction that we would draw.

The purpose of these communications is more along the lines of enabling you to deal with such aspects of identity that would otherwise cause you to be weakened by some of the topics and events that we do communicate about.

There is one item that is in the news at this time that is perhaps worthy of comment, and that is the declassification by the new President of the United States of documents relating to the assassination of President Kennedy. And his decision to do so is causing great consternation within certain elements of that country’s security apparatus.

Most readers of this would think immediately of the CIA, and certainly that is one of the agencies concerned. But there are other more shadowy agencies and individuals who see this declassification as reckless and intend to obstruct, to the best of their ability, the release of any substantial information on the topic.

Now we would speculate that there are very few people who would accept the conventional narrative that President Kennedy was shot by a lone gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald, for reasons and motivations unknown. Clearly there are some for whom this is a comfortable and unchallenging explanation, but for anyone who has looked into the event, and there are many these days, would conclude at least that something you might say “fishy” was going on. And there are indeed many who are in no doubt that the events of that day involved deep corruption within the United States government and its security agencies. And we would say, a wider cadre of shady organisations and individuals.

Those people who are greatly concerned by the declassification of these documents, are not so perturbed by the involvement of the government that they at least nominally serve, but instead are largely protective of the reputation, particularly of the CIA and the wider security establishment.

You might say that amongst much of the population, there is very little positive reputation to protect, but the information contained in these documents, if it was to be exposed to the light of day and to public scrutiny, even now after the period of time that has elapsed since the events, that they of which they are concerned, the American people and the wider public, particularly in the more developed western countries, would be deeply affected by the revelation, even though it is widely suspected to be so, in the absence of these documents.

It is the revelation of the truth, the written accounts, that would cause an even wider distrust in governments and their agencies. Now, the ramifications of this are two-fold and are difficult to predict for this reason. On the one hand, those who we have spoken of in the past who seek the erosion of wider society in order to gain influence, in order to supposedly gain power, would you imagine, welcome this erosion of credibility, this erosion of trust in such a significant arm of governments all around the world. The difference here is that these particular types of agency or branches of government, and we are not speaking exclusively of the United States but of governments more widely, tend to be the vector if you will, of influence that these nefarious types are able to use to infiltrate deeply into the structures of government. These organisations are in some way their fortresses within the security, the intelligence and the military. Generally, because the civilian aspects of government are too open to scrutiny. It is within these more hidden areas of course that they can operate with far greater impunity. And it is for this reason that the exposure of these documents relating to the assassination of President Kennedy, that they fear the real damage that could be done to their control over governments from within.

Of course, that is not to say that there are not other actors who hold high rank within governments from this group, this mindset that is antihuman as we have described it. But there are those who play their role in public and there are those who play their role in the dark. And within the security, intelligence and military branches of government, there are some very dark corners indeed. And the people of whom we speak will go to great lengths to retain access to those deep, dark corners, so to speak.

And so we would encourage our audience to take great interest in the release of these documents and where they are able, demand openness. Demand that a light be shone intensely, where necessary, into these dark recesses where the individuals who share these desires to erode and control the wider public and their societies dwell. We would encourage those who can, to be active and demand the full revelation of what occurred both on the day of the event but in the time since.

This is one area where the erosion or even collapse of a branch of government that has become a mainstay of protecting the status quo of power would actually be to the great benefit of the wider public. Now there is an argument that nations require to gather intelligence, to keep secrets, even conduct espionage on one another, but the events of which we speak, such as this very famous assassination, point to deep corruption and certainly have little or nothing to do with the legitimate requirements of nation states to protect their interests.

The events depicted in these documents, should they ever see the light of day in reality, would shock the general public, even now, for the depth of corruption and cynicism and lust for power that they detail – or at least would shine some light upon. And so, despite the actions of the new President of the United States, there will be quite a battle to ensure that his orders in this instance are never fulfilled.

And that is why a real focussed desire by the general public to have this light shone upon these documents and what they contain and the events and action therein, can have a real and significant effect. The combined desire of a large number of people focussed upon one very particular desired outcome, can hold immense sway on events.

And it would be to the benefit of these societies and the people within them of which we speak, to do all they can to ensure that those who would seek to prevent these documents from ever reaching the light of day, are unsuccessful in doing so. Because the revelations contained will necessarily shine light into some of those dark crevices of government that we mentioned earlier. And upon those who lurk there and their activities.

And because those individuals and their activities are not undertaken for the benefit of wider society, but rather for the benefit of a small few, it is of great importance that these documents are revealed and that the contents are made widely known.
