For the past ten weeks, hairdressers in Auckland have been forced to shut their doors. This is regardless of the vaccination status of either their staff or their clientele. It is likewise regardless of the precautions they are willing to take against the possibility of spreading infection.
I have felt very conflicted about posting this story, simply because it is by Brian Tamaki. But then I realised that I was really just trying to censor him, not because I disagree with what he says here, in fact I very much agree in this instance, but because of who he is. At that point I realised my own hypocrisy.
Of all the vaccines I have taken in my life like tetanus shots, measles, mumps, polio, meningitis, TB shots, etc… never have I heard so many lies and deceptions over a vaccine that says I have to wear a mask and socially distance even when fully vaccinated, and that I could still contract or spread the virus even after being fully vaccinated.
