This article by Lorna Gibson, describes her nightmare battle with their local university, after her family were branded racists and white supremacists and subjected to protests, cancellation and bankruptcy of their 137 year old family business.
Despite winning a lawsuit which cleared the family and their multi-generational business of any wrongdoing, and which awarded them millions of dollars in damages, the family has had no relief.
In fact, the university, which controls around a billion dollars worth of assets, appealed to the Ohio Supreme Court. That court denied the appeal and ordered the university to pay the plaintiffs $36 million. However, the university still refuses to respect the court’s order and pay the damages awarded by the courts.
